Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains how Overlay Camera: Line Up Photos (the "App"), made by Ditra ("Ditra", "we", "us"), handles information when you use it on iPhone.
The short version: your photos are yours. There is no account, we don't show ads, and we don't sell data. Your photos stay on your device or in your own iCloud, and we never see them.
Summary
| What | Where it lives | Can Ditra see it? |
|---|---|---|
| Your photos and projects | On your device, backed up and synced via your own iCloud | No |
| Copies saved to Photos (optional) | In your Photos library | No |
| Anonymous usage analytics | TelemetryDeck | Only aggregated, anonymous statistics |
| Purchase and subscription status | Apple and RevenueCat | Only an anonymous app user ID and purchase status |
No account
The App doesn't require or offer an account. You don't sign up, and we don't ask for your name, email address or phone number to use it.
Photos and projects
Photos you take or import into the App, and your projects (names, notes and settings), are stored on your device. If iCloud is enabled for the App, they are backed up and synced across your devices through your own iCloud account: project data uses Apple's CloudKit private database, and photo files are copied to the App's folder in your iCloud Drive. This data belongs to your iCloud account. Ditra has no access to it and cannot see your photos. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Photos keep the metadata your camera or the original file includes (for example the capture date and, if present, the location). That metadata stays with the photo on your device and in your iCloud; it is never sent to Ditra.
You can delete photos and projects at any time in the App, and Delete all data in Settings removes the App's data from your device and from your iCloud. Copies you saved to your Photos library stay there until you delete them in Photos.
Camera and Photos access
The App asks for access to your camera so you can take photos with the overlay. It asks for access to your Photos library only to save copies of your photos there (if you choose) and to import existing photos you pick. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Analytics
To understand which features are used and to fix problems, the App sends anonymous usage signals (for example, "a photo was taken" or "an export was started") to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. These signals:
- do not include your name, email address, photos, photo content, file names, project names, notes or location;
- use an anonymized identifier that is hashed before it leaves your device and is not linked to you;
- are used only by Ditra in aggregate, never for advertising.
You can turn analytics off at any time in the App's Settings.
Purchases and subscriptions
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Ditra never receives your payment card details or Apple ID.
We use RevenueCat to manage purchase and subscription status (for example, whether Pro is active). RevenueCat receives purchase receipts from Apple together with a randomly generated, anonymous app user ID. This ID is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID by us.
What we don't do
- We don't require or offer user accounts.
- We don't show ads or use advertising identifiers.
- We don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't sell, rent or trade your data.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention and deletion
Content you create stays on your device and in your own iCloud and Photos library until you delete it. Anonymous analytics and purchase records are kept by our providers only as long as needed for the purposes above. Because these records are anonymous, we generally cannot link them to a specific person. If you have a question or request about your data, contact us and we will help where we can.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Because the App is designed not to collect personal data, there is usually little or nothing for us to provide, but you can always contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted in the App or on this page.
